Mery Theresa Mahila Mandali is a non-governmental organization (NGO) working in Andhra Pradesh, India. The registration number of the organization is: 813/1997. Established in the year 1997, Mery Theresa Mahila Mandali works in the area of children, women welfare, disability, disaster management, education & literacy, food and agriculture, health & nutrition, HIV/AIDS, human rights, legal awareness & aid, rural development & poverty alleviation, science & technology, etc. The NGO works towards the promotion of sustainable development.

Mery Theresa Mahila Mandali has been working for over 20 years, focusing on alleviating poverty and social exclusion. We do this through well-planned and comprehensive programmes in health, education, livelihoods and disaster preparedness and response. We also focus on generating and sharing knowledge with diverse stakeholders to influence sustainable impact at scale. Our overall goal is the empowerment of women and girls from poor and marginalised communities, leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods.

Our Vission

Mery Theresa Mahila Mandali is desirous of taking new initiatives like establishment and maintenance of charitable institutions like Schools, Orphanages, Free Medical Centres, Old Age Homes and Vocational Training Centres.

Our Objectives

To stop and eradicate the social evils and bad habits.
To promote a sense of unity, cooperation, leadership qualities and awareness among the rural masses.
To start Self Employment schemes like Poultry, Dairy, Sheep and Goat rearing programmes, Piggery and other Small Industries to create permanent income for the people.
To start the saving schemes on community level.
To start relief, Rehabibilitation and Reconstruction programmes in order to create a new life for the downtrodden, Physically Handicapped, Destitutes, Depressed, Deserted and Orphans.
To Start and conduct welfare activities for the development of women and children.
To promote cooperation knowledge and cultural, education among the women.
To take up women to safety aid their rights.
To create disciplined type women.
To give training to youth (Male/Female) through videos in Education arts and makes them as best artists.
To develop and implement welfare activities like modern Agriculture, Afforestration construction of Roads and Buildings, Sanitation Programmes, Drinking Water facilities, Income Generating schemes and other useful activities for the poor and needy.
To develop Socio-economical, Educational, Health, Cultural and moral values by catering the needs of un-privileged classes irrespective of Religion, Race, caste and Creed.
To collaborate with other societies association federations of those having similar aims and objectives in INDIA and ABROAD.
To promote Health conditions in all respects, especially women and the children family welfare programmes, Nutrition programmes, maternity child and Health care MCH, Immunization programmes, Day Care centers, Short Stay Home Centers, Creche centers and centers for the physically handicapped etc.
To give training to youth (Male/Female) in singing, dance and sports and give cash/awards/prizes to youth who stands first and also give chances to others to show their ability.
To establish and take up the developmental projects like Horticulture, Sericulture, Waste land Development, Social Forestry Schemes, improvement of tree plantation, Animal Husbandry, Central Social Welfare Board Schemes, Holiday camos, Tailoring, Typewriting, Dairy Development programmes, NORAD Schemes, National Children Fund Schemes, women Development Programmes.
Medical and Health Programmes, Communication facilities to uplift the living conditions of the rural and dis-advantaged groups in the area.
To start Adult Education Centres, Non-Formal Education Centres, Library centres, Vocational Training Centres, Condenced Courses, especially in the rural areas where there is no Education facilities to encourage and educate the women folk and the rural masses.
To start village groups or leaders to pursue thier problems and to improve the education in every family.
To raise and receive, subscriptions, donations from members and local people and to receive funds on giants in the shape of cash or kind from donar agencies both from our country and abroad, and also to utilize the subsidies margin money and benefits from Government and Non-Governmental organization in a view to run the programmes for the benefit of the people.

Our Resolutions

To start and establish educational institutions in Primary, Pre Primary, Secondary, Senior Secondary, Libraries, Technical Training Institutions, Vocational training centers and other relevant institutes to promote educational values and scientific knowledge among the rural masses. To open and run Junior and Degree College, Post Graduate Centers, Distance education study centers and also establish MCA/MBA colleges, Pharmacy College, Medical and Para medical, Dental, Nursing Colleges B.Ed, TTC and other Polytechnic Institutions as permitted by the Government from time to time.
To takeup church plantation and organization the spiritual meetings in order to spread the message of Jesusu Christ and improve the Peace, Love, Compassion, Universal Brotherhood without prejudice of National Integrity and Unity.
To organize the rehabilitation centers for the aged, disabled, orphanages, child labour destitute women, street children and other victims caused by Natural calamities or man made.
To organize Health clinics in rural areas to identify the AIFS patients, Checkup, and organize Blood Donation and Eye Donation camps and distribute the same to the needy groups on free of cost.
To receive and encourage the contributions by way of Cash, Land and other assets either movable or immovable from the society members, benefactors, institutions, Abroad Donor Agencies, Government and other persons to attain the objects of the society.
To start Women welfare hostels, short stay homes, working women hostels, rehabilitation centers for widow women, and launch other welfare activities for the benefit of women.

To obtain loans/grants from the State and Central Government and Nationalized Banks for the betterment of old age, destitute people for their maintenance at the fag and their life.
To open and run Vocational Training Centers for introducing the computer, Typewriting, Tailoring, Embroidery and other vocational training courses for the unemployed youth.
Coordination of different individuals of Charity Central and State Governments, Corporations and other funding agencies both national and international for raising of funds and their active participation. and utilize the loan facilities and assistance from CAPART, Banks DRDA, DPAP, IRDP, RASTRIYA MAHILA KOSH, NEW DELHI, NABARD, ST SC, BCCORPORATIONS,Government and Non Governmental agencies, outside donor agencies for empowerment of women, Youth in socio economic health and education in Tribal, Rural and Urban area people.
To conduct family planning, serequality, reproductivity health camps for eligible couples undergone vasectomy, tube Tony and button whole operations.
To appoint a Health Co.ordinator to conduct awareness health camps in the target villages on the following health and welfare programmes through this society.
- Health Care and Health Management.
- Mother and Child Care.
- Nutrition food, Vitamins and proteins and hot to procure within their resources.
- Family Planning.
- Personal hygiene, Sanitation and environmental cleanliness. To appoint health animators and resource persons to conduct health awareness camps in innovative methods.
- To teach about first aid.
- Balancer diet and value of Nutrition food.
- Pre-natal, Intra-natal and Post-natal care.
- Vaccination, Immunization, Space methods and various family welfare methods.
- To review about the existing health system and hints for general improvement.
To protect the women from Gruha Himsa, Women Trafficking, Child labour, Bounded labour and organize women welfare programmes.
